Maybe if the on-screen action was more interesting, I wouldn't care as much about these unanswered questions. Are the Paladins trying to keep the knowledge of their existence a secret? Then why do they engage jumpers in public places? Why are the Paladins so ineffective at their jobs? I know that the main characters have plot armor and all that, but how are two shmucks with no combat training able to dispose of the Paladins with such ease?
